The growth of Alternative Dispute Resolution
The UK mediation market has grown by 9% in 2024. It is estimated that 9,500 civil and commercial cases are mediated annually, totalling approximately £9 billion in value. This growth reflects an increasing recognition of mediation as an effective alternative to litigation.
Arbitration in the UK has been expanding by around 26% between 2016 and 2020. The UK is recognised as a leading destination for arbitration, handling at least 5,000 domestic and international arbitrations annually, contributing approximately £2.5 billion in fees to the economy each year.
Training the next generation of ADR professionals
In addition to our practice, we are committed to training the next generation of ADR professionals. Our portfolio includes a 40-hour mediation training programme accredited by the Civil Mediation
Council.
LexRx provides accredited training in a range of ADR courses (including Arbitration) for universities, organisations and individual (both legal and non legal) professionals.
